Summer Reset Yin and Yang Workshop

Yoga Workshop Ross on Wye

Sunday 25th June 5 – 8.30pm

www.energyogawithhelen.com to book

Yoga returns to Walford with another Yin and Yang workshop, intended to be a relaxing summer reset. Hopefully it will still be lovely and warm, and as this should be an evening one, the pace and intensity of the vinyasa flow will not be as taxing as the last one. The focus will be absolutely relaxation.

Over 3.5 hours, we shall practise:

· Gentle vinyasa flow 🧘‍♀️

· Shavasana massage 💆‍♂️💆‍♀️

· Relaxing yin yoga 🧘‍♂️

· Guided meditation ☯️

All complemented by Yogi tea and vegan cake halfway through.

The vinyasa flow will be for all levels, with modifications always offered.

The yin yoga will be really accessible, super calm, and the perfect preamble to winding down for the guided meditation.

After the dynamic practice preceding it, the yin will feel like the perfect balance of energy and leave you floating into the meditation where the aim is to just LET GO! If you fall asleep, you will not be alone!

Ian Millar & Dominic Spencer saxophone & piano duo from Scotland

The UKs hardest working jazz group!

“Very cool music played in a magical atmosphere – this will appeal to jazz novices as well as hardcore enthusiasts.” Three Weeks Magazine

Ian and Dominic are unique in the UK Jazz community taking their blend of melodic jazz standards and original compositions to rural communities all over the UK. They use programmable lighting and bottle lights to create a wonderful intimate atmosphere for the music.

They tell stories of their travels in their Tour Bus – an old converted Yorkshire Ambulance, in an entertaining evening of creative music and enthusiastic joy, just what is needed after months of isolation.

We are delighted to be performing again after sell out candle light concerts on the Glasgow Tall Ship in July 2021 and record sales for our concerts in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We are hoping this makes a welcome release from lock down and a chance for communities to reconnect. ” says Ian

It’s been a difficult time over the last few years but we had both been practising hard throughout lock down, even posting some videos of us playing together from our separate homes. Throughout lock down we called ourselves the Socially Distanced Duo now we’re getting out and meeting our audience again!” says Dominic

Pilates – New class coming to Walford Village Hall – Book now

pilates walford village hall

We are excited to announce that a new 6 week Pilates class will begin at Walford Village Hall. Classes begin on Friday 21st April 2023 and are suitable for all abilities. Booking in advance is essential by contacting Elaine on 07779 797068 or elaine.price@me.com

Pilates is a type of exercise in which you perform a series of controlled movements that flow into one another with precision. As far as what muscles it works, it’s technically considered a total body workout.

In working the entire body, though, Pilates’ movements are primarily designed to target your core muscles. The goal is to be in total control of your body as you move. That requires beginning from your central core muscles and using the stability these muscles provide to smoothly control your arms, legs and other extremities.

This is no easy feat, which is what makes it a great way to build strength and stamina.

Because it focuses on promoting functional strength, the benefits of Pilates extend beyond your workout, improving the way you move in your everyday life.
