Join Helen from Ener-G Yoga at Walford Village Hall for a peaceful and restorative morning of very gentle Yin Yoga, sound healing, meditation and relaxation, inspired by the Aries Full Moon.

This special three-hour workshop is designed to help you slow down, create space and take some time for yourself as we move into autumn.

The morning includes:

• 75 minutes of gentle Yin Yoga, including Shavasana massage
• A short break with intention setting
• 10-minute guided meditation with singing bowls
• A 45-minute Sound Bath
• Vegan cake and Yogi Tea, with an opportunity to share and discuss your experience afterwards

The session begins with gentle, meditative Yin Yoga to prepare the body and mind. Once you’ve created some space, you’ll be guided through intention setting before relaxing into the vibrations of the singing bowls during the Sound Bath.

It’s an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life, relax deeply and simply be still.

Dog lovers are in for a treat as the Beardie Fun Day comes to Walford Village Hall on Sunday 19th July, from 11:00am to 4:30pm.

Hosted by the West of England & South Wales Bearded Collie Club, the event promises a fun-filled day for Bearded Collie owners, families and anyone who enjoys spending time with dogs. Visitors can look forward to fun classes, working tests, games, a grooming corner, clicker training introduction, a special doggy hamper raffle and a goodie stall.

Complimentary refreshments, including strawberries and cream, will be available, and guests are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful surroundings of the Welsh Borders.

Entry is free for members and £5 for non-members.

Looking for a welcoming way to start your fitness journey? Our beginner Pilates classes at Walford Village Hall are the perfect place to begin. Starting Friday 8th May, Pearla Pilates is offering accessible, supportive sessions designed for adults aged 18+ with absolutely no prior experience required.

Each class focuses on improving core strength, posture, flexibility, and overall mobility. Whether you’re new to exercise or returning after a break, you’ll be guided through safe, effective movements in a relaxed environment.

Classes take place every Friday from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Walford Village Hall (HR9 5QS). To help you get started, there is a special introductory rate of just £8 per session.

Pilates is well-known for its ability to strengthen the body while calming the mind, making it ideal for reducing stress and improving everyday movement.

Walford Village Hall Quiz Night – Friday 27 March promises a welcoming evening of community fun, friendly competition and fundraising in the heart of Walford. Whether you’re a seasoned quiz enthusiast or simply looking for an enjoyable night out with friends, this local event offers the perfect opportunity to test your knowledge while supporting a meaningful cause.

Taking place on Friday 27 March at 7:30pm, the quiz night at Walford Village Hall will bring together teams of up to six people for a lively evening of trivia, laughter and community spirit. Entry is just £5 per person, making it an affordable way to enjoy a social evening close to home.

Bring your own drinks and snacks, settle in for the evening, and don’t forget to enter the raffle for a chance to win some great prizes. Spaces are expected to fill quickly, so early booking is strongly advised.

Our wonderful hall is at the heart of the community, but it can only thrive with the support of local volunteers. Could you spare a little time? You might be handy with a paintbrush, happy to do some weeding around the grounds, help at events, manage road crossings, run stalls, welcome visitors, or lend general DIY skills to keep the building in great shape.

We’re also looking for extra pairs of hands behind the scenes — admin support, managing bookings, or showing people around the hall. Whether you can give an hour now and then or become more regularly involved, every bit of help makes a difference.
