Calling all expectant mothers! A new Pregnancy Yoga class comes to Walford Village Hall from 11th May every Saturday at 9.45am. You can unwind, connect with your body, and prepare for the beautiful journey of childbirth. Emily the instructor will guide you through gentle poses and breathing techniques specifically tailored for pregnant women. Yoga during pregnancy offers a multitude of benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved sleep, increased flexibility and strength, and pain relief. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a complete beginner, this class is designed to cater to all levels and provide a safe and supportive environment for you and your growing baby. Charity Quiz Night

Chaseview will be hosting a charity quiz night on June 1st to raise funds for Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue. This fun event promises quiz prizes, raffles, food, and drinks – all to support a great cause. There are 70 tickets available, the evening will start at 6pm and finish around 10pm.

The event is being held at Walford Village Hall and tickets are £10 per person, quiz teams can be a maximum of 6 people, with all proceeds going to HWAR.

Joining the event are ‘Catering with Claire’ to serve burgers and loaded fries, ‘Greedy Gimmers Desserts’ and an outside bar service, please note all food and bar services will be selling their own produce and contributing a donation to the overall fundraising.

To purchase tickets please either pop into the practice or message the Chase view Facebook page with how many tickets you would like and these can be collected from the practice.

If you’re passionate about photography, The Ross Photo Club are looking for new members and would love to hear from you!

The photo club offers a robust program for photography enthusiasts from September through May each year and meet at Walford Village Hall. Some of the key highlights include:

  • Weekly meetings with interesting guest speakers
  • Members-only evenings for sharing work and getting feedback
  • Photographic competitions to challenge and improve skills
  • A dedicated Project Group monthly for creative challenges
  • Organised day trips and outings to photograph various subjects

The club welcomes photographers of all skill levels, regardless of the camera equipment they use – whether it’s a DSLR, tablet, or even a smartphone. The goal is to provide an engaging and supportive community for anyone interested in developing their photography abilities.

The trustees of Walford Village Hall extend a very special invite to our Open Day from 11am to 2pm, on Saturday, March 23.

The event, celebrating village halls week, will see our groups and societies meet to showcase their work, including the fantastic Walford Scouts, Wyeplay – soft play sessions for children, Ring Craft, and the Royal British Legion.

In addition, visitors can get to know the Walford Community Support Scheme (WCSS) Hub, a place where members of the scheme can meet up for coffee mornings and much more.

Come and enjoy a cup of tea and a piece of cake and get to know the groups and take a tour around our hall, which has benefited from significant investment in new toilets and other refurbishments in a spacious, warm environment, which is becoming increasingly popular to hire for parties.

Are you a busy person who wants to grow your own vegetables but doesn’t have a lot of time to spend on it? If so, you’re in luck! Come and join us at Walford Village Hall on Friday 8th March at 6.30pm – 8pm to learn more about ways to be a lazy but productive gardener.

Growing your own vegetables can be a rewarding and delicious experience, but it doesn’t have to be a lot of work. With a little planning and care, you can have a bountiful harvest with minimal effort. You will learn about the benefits of no dig and no turn compost and other techniques that will save you time, money, & energy. By using these tips, you can have a beautiful garden without having to spend a lot of time or effort.
